The Italian Alpine Club (CAI) is a free national association which, as stated in article 1 of its statute, “has as its purpose mountaineering in all its manifestations, the knowledge and study of the mountains, especially the Italian ones, and the defense of their natural environment “.
The CAI manuals are intended to disseminate mountaineering, its practice and techniques.
